Back story: Since 2008, there has been a partnership between NOAA and Smithsonian to produce ocean literacy videos known as "Ocean Today" for a museum kiosk network and educational programs. This video was created as part of that program.

How it impacted our organization: Using humor to communicate science showcased that making content fun to watch while delivering information is an effective strategy to reach student populations.

How the project created an amazing experience for your constituents: For students who care about climate issues, it was incredible to see a climate scientist from NOAA have fun with the report.

How it met our organization's objectives: The video engaged students and the general public to think about our changing climate.
